A badge of honor

I volunteered for the first time as a poll worker. I just so happened to choose a presidential election with a historic turnout, making my day one to remember. But what is it like to be a poll worker? What should you know next time you’re waiting in line? Are poll workers secretly political and trying to influence voters? And, importantly, did I get to hand out those “I voted” stickers?
